The Hunter
One night as I was walking
A long and lonely road
I cam upon a great hunter
And his hounds they did bellow
 
This hunter had a mighty bow
And a fire in his eyes
As I did bed him greetings
His face it showed surprise
 
"Hail friend and blessed be
Have you traveled long?"
"Aye friend, I've traveled far
To hear our Lady's song"
 
"What song is this," I did reply
And He smiled 'neath his hood
"The song of love, the song of live
and song of Motherhood"
 
What cryptic games
He seemed to play
And nothing more
Would he e'er say
 
So each night hence
I listen long
But still have yet
To hear the song.

Mistress of magicks, dark and light
Keeper of Life's mysteries

For all that you have done

One night as I was tarrying
Upon a moonlit hill
I felt a wicked gust of air
That to my bones did chill
 
I looked about, that moonlit night
And searched long for the source
Finding nothing but my fear
I did mount and trot my horse
 
I saw a lass upon the road
And bid her a fair and merry meet
But as I saw her moonlit face
My heart did skip a beat
 
"What will you have me do, my liege,"
I asked this old and aged Crone
"Cast your blood at the crossroads"
And she gave me a holystone
 
So at the crossroads, next I found
My knife cut upon my hand
Blood offered freely to the Earth
And to my new homeland
 
Ne'er again did I see the Crone
'Cept in my darkest dreams
But since that night on the road
She smiles now it seems

I Walked

And touched the Goddess's path
I lit the bonfire on the faery mound
And felt the fire's wrath

In darkened forests I walked
And touched the Moon's pale light
Her magick it surrounded me

In sacred rooms I walked
And saw the beauty of life
I lit the candle of the sacred flame
And banished away my strife

In ancient caves I walked
And listened for Her voice
Her whispers they surrounded me
